Innovaciones en video en la Web

En la actualidad, el video es un componente importante de las actividades diarias en Internet y una gran parte de muchos de los productos de Google.
Porque pasamos una gran parte de nuestro tiempo intentando mejorar la experiencia online de nuestros usuarios, es que creemos que la tecnología de compresión de video debe ser parte de una plataforma Web. Con esa meta en mente, estamos anunciando hoy que hemos firmado un acuerdo para adquirir On2 Technologies, una empresa líder en la creación de compresión de video de alta calidad.
El acuerdo está aún sujeto de aprobación por los accionistas de On2 Technologies y revisión por autoridades regulatorias de los Estados Unidos, incluyendo la Securities and Exchange Commission, pero esperamos cerrar el acuerdo en el cuarto trimestre.
Si bien no estamos en una posición de discutir planes para productos específicos hasta luego de cerrado el acuerdo, estamos comprometidos con la innovación en videos de calidad en la Web y creemos que On2 Technologies nos va a ayudar en alcanzar esa meta.
